Thai Black Ginger
Known in Thailand as 'Krachai Dam' (black ginger), Kaempferia parviflora has been used in Thai traditional medicine for centuries as a royal tonic reserved for kings and warriors. Ancient Thai texts describe it as a herb that 'restores youthful vigour,' and it was prized by Muay Thai fighters who drank it as a pre-fight endurance tonic. Modern research has confirmed its high concentration of polymethoxyflavones — particularly 5,7-dimethoxyflavone — which are responsible for its potent effects on testosterone, blood flow, and cellular energy. It was formally added to Thailand's national list of herbal medicines and is now one of the country's most studied traditional herbs.
