Pacra Pacra (Andean Fern) (Blechnum auratum) is a herb used in the Andean & Incan Medicine tradition to help with Wound Healing, Skin Health, Inflammation, and Fever. The aerial parts and leaves are the parts traditionally used, used both internally and topically.
Botanical background
Lomariocycas aurata (also called Blechnum auratum) is a tree fern in the family Blechnaceae and found in montane rainforests and cloud forests from Costa Rica to Bolivia. The trunk, about six inches (15 cm) thick, stands up to 6.5 feet (two meters) in height. The once-pinnate fronds are about a meter (3 ft 3 in) long.
