GDPR Rights

Last updated: May 2026

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights over your personal data. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them on Sunaras.

Data Controller

Sunaras is the data controller for personal information collected through this Site (account email/name, and your email if you subscribe to the newsletter). You can reach us at privacy@sunaras.app.

Legal Basis for Processing

  • Account data (email, name) — processed based on your consent when you create an account, to provide the sign-in and saved-items features.
  • Newsletter email — processed based on your explicit consent when you submit the signup form.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to object — object to our processing of your data, including unsubscribing from the newsletter at any time.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email privacy@sunaras.app with your request. We will respond within one month, as required by GDPR. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Google) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this occurs, it is covered by their own standard contractual clauses and safeguards — see their respective privacy policies for detail.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
