Rheum (Skyabs Chen) (Rheum nobile) is a herb used in the Tibetan Medicine tradition to help with Constipation, Liver Support, and Detox. The aerial parts and leaves are the parts traditionally used, taken internally.

Botanical background

Rheum nobile, the Noble rhubarb or Sikkim rhubarb or पदमचाल, is a giant herbaceous plant native to the Himalaya, from northeastern Afghanistan, east through northern Pakistan and India, Nepal, Sikkim (in India), Bhutan, and Tibet to Myanmar, occurring in the alpine zone at 4000–4800 m altitude.

  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Rheum (Skyabs Chen) in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
