Yucca (Yucca glauca) is a herb used in the Indigenous / Native American tradition to help with Arthritis, Hair Loss, Inflammation, and Wound Healing. The aerial parts and leaves are the parts traditionally used, used both internally and topically.

Botanical background

Yucca glauca (syn. Yucca angustifolia) is a species of perennial evergreen plant, adapted to xeric (dry)growth conditions. It is also known as small soapweed, soapweed yucca, Spanish bayonet, Great Plains yucca and beargrass.

  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Yucca in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

  • Pack dried Yucca into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
  • Seal and steep for 4–6 weeks, shaking daily.
  • Strain and store in a dark dropper bottle.
