Bugleweed (Lycopus europaeus/Lycopus virginicus) contains lithospermic acid and rosmarinic acid that inhibit TSH receptor activation, reduce T4 production, and inhibit the conversion of T4 to the more active T3. This is the most evidence-supported herbal thyroid-hormone-reducing approach for feline hyperthyroidism. USE ONLY UNDER VETERINARY SUPERVISION AND MONITORING.

Hyperthyroid cats are hyperactive, anxious, and restless β lemon balm addresses both the thyroid component and the secondary anxiety and agitation.
β οΈ Very safe for cats at these small doses. Rosmarinic acid content means lemon balm genuinely has mild thyroid-modulating activity β use alongside veterinary monitoring. Not for cats with hypothyroidism.

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca β Palpitation Support)
Hyperthyroidism causes tachycardia and cardiac hypertrophy in cats. Motherwort's leonurine has mild negative chronotropic (heart rate reducing) effects and cardiac protective activity, supporting the cardiovascular strain of hyperthyroidism. It also provides mild anxiolytic activity through its alkaloid content.

5:2 Modified Fasting Protocol

Evening (before 6 pm) β Light Closing Meal

- Simmer vegetables in broth with spices 15β20 minutes until very soft.
- Blend half or all for a smooth soup if desired. Stir in ghee at the end.
- Eat before 6 pm. This should be light and easy to digest β the digestive system is slowing down.
- After this meal: only herbal tea and water. The 14β16 hour overnight fast begins here.
72-Hour Autophagy Reset Fast

- An extended 72-hour fast activates deep cellular autophagy (cellular self-cleaning) β the process in which cells break down and recycle damaged organelles, misfolded proteins, and dysfunctional mitochondria.
- The first 16β24 hours triggers glycogen depletion and ketogenesis; hours 24β72 see peak autophagy and a significant reduction in circulating IGF-1 and inflammatory cytokines.
